When a positive mindset nurtured and supported--which admittedly takes time and scaffolding--it becomes a cornerstone of success and stability in a person’s life. While mindset is one part, not the whole, prescription for wellbeing, it is an incredibly powerful tool.

In the article, author Carly Broadway describes one type of positive mindset as a Stress-Is-Enhancing Mindset: “Individuals with this mindset view obstacles as opportunities for learning and development.” Growth mindset is another type of positive mindset. “A growth mindset — the belief that one can change their abilities and circumstances — predicts fewer negative emotions, greater efficacy, and less avoidant coping.”
