In the spring of 2024, the Springer eagle mascot underwent a makeover with students at the lead!
The eagle makeover project launched when Springer High School students participated in brainstorming and conceptual workshops with graphic designer Sarah Gebhardt of Gebhardt Design. She fine-tuned designs based on student guidance and input from school leaders. Finally the entire student body voted on four options to arrive at the final design. An excellent choice! Reuben the Eagle displays determination and strength. This is the first time in school history that the eagle mascot has been depicted with a full body!

The eagle mascot that previously represented Springer is now considered our classic eagle, and will always hold a special place in our history!
