Nicky Valentino Budke ’91

Nicky Valentino Budke has been a dental assistant for over 20 years. Out of high school, she attended a trade school for dental assisting called The Institute of Medical-Dental Technology. After graduation, Nicky worked for  Dr. Glueck, DDS, a general dentist in Hyde Park until he retired. Then, she began working at Cincinnati Children’s Dental, where she stayed for 10 years. Nicky said, "I loved working with children and learned so much in the hospital dental setting."  In 2017 she happily accepted a position as a Certified Dental Assistant and Office Coordinator with Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry in Blue Ash. In 2018 UC Blue Ash began to offer the one-year certificate program for Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary which Nicky was excited about. In 2019 she graduated with the first graduating class during the COVID pandemic from UC BlueAsh EFDA program. She is still employed by Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry as an EFDA and Clinic Coordinator and loves her job. Nicky is also a Mom of 3 boys, ages 12, 18, and 22. She added, "being a Mom is definitely my greatest achievement!"
