Since 1971 Springer School and Center has pursued its mission to empower students with learning disabilities to lead successful lives. Enrollment at Springer’s day school has grown more than six-fold since its founding, and the establishment of the center in 1999 has expanded our influence in Greater Cincinnati, contributing to Springer School and Center’s status as the region’s premier resource for learning disabilities.
Springer marked its 40th anniversary this year, pausing on several occasions to reflect on 40 years of the Springer Experience. Executive Directors Sister Mary Jean (formerly known as Elizabeth Mary) Fields, Sister Marianne Van Vurst and Dr. Norita Aplin visited the campus, sharing their remembrances about their time at Springer. Former Board Presidents met for an on-campus luncheon and Springer alumni reminisced at A Springer Celebration! 2011.
