The Empowered Learner Night with Jared Cooney Horvath, PhD
A Tour Through Your Child’s Brain: Development, Technology, and Learning
Sometimes students are bored, disengaged, and unmotivated.Other times they’re risky, unpredictable, and emotionally volatile. What is going on? In this session, we will explore the brain, how it develops across the lifespan, and consider how these changes drive learning and behavior during school-aged years. In addition, we’ll take a look at several principles we can use to help support our students both at home and at school. Finally, we will take a quick look at the issue of digital technologies and consider what impact these tools are having on childhood learning.
