Springer Learning Center: A Hub for Empowered Learners and Informed Communities
At Springer School and Center, our mission extends beyond our classrooms. Springer Learning Center serves as a trusted resource for educators, families, and community members who want to better understand learning differences, and learn practical strategies to help every student thrive.

Nearly 30 Years of Learning, Connection, and Growth
Since its inception in 1999, Springer Learning Center has offered a robust lineup of programming designed to support both educators and families. During the 2024–2025 school year, a dynamic series of eight in-person parent programs were held in our new North Wing. These sessions addressed essential topics such as dyslexia, executive functioning, and technology tools to offer families guidance, strategies, and practical resources to support young learners at home and at school.
Our skilled Springer team also extended their expertise into the community, delivering professional development and training to local schools. By partnering with educators and school staff, we helped teachers deepen their understanding of learning differences while continuing to grow as inclusive, effective educators. Bringing the Community Together: The Empowered Learner Conference
In February 2025, Springer Learning Center hosted the first Empowered Learner Conference, a day dedicated to learning, connection, and inspiration for parents, educators, and community members. Now, we are excited to host the second annual Empowered Learner Conference: The Power of Executive Function on February 13, 2026.
The conference will feature expert speakers like Dr. Cheryl Chase, a nationally recognized licensed clinical psychologist specializing in supporting those with learning differences, and Sarah Ward, M.S. CCC-SLP, Co-Director of Cognitive Connections, LLP and co-developer of the 360 Thinking Model. Attendees can expect sessions on executive functioning, literacy, social-emotional learning, and classroom and home strategies, as well as opportunities to connect with other families and professionals who are passionate about supporting students with learning differences.
Whether you are a parent seeking tools to help your child, a teacher looking to expand your practice, or a community member eager to learn more, the Empowered Learner Conference offers meaningful takeaways for everyone.

A Community Resource, Year-Round
Springer Learning Center is committed to offering year-round learning opportunities that empower families and educators. Through workshops, conferences, professional development, and community events, we strive to share knowledge, spark collaboration, and create a stronger network of support for learners with diverse needs.
We invite parents, teachers, and community partners to join us, at the Empowered Learner Conference and throughout the year, as we continue building a community where every learner is understood, supported, and empowered to succeed.
