Springer Diagnostic Center is excited to introduce Emily Schweppe, our new parent coach. Emily is an expert at helping parents navigate life with more confidence and ease.

Parenting Challenges Are Normal & Support Is Available
If you’ve ever felt stuck, uncertain, or exhausted trying to support your child, you’re not alone. Parenting a child with learning differences or ADHD comes with unique hurdles and opportunities for growth.
If there’s one thing coach Emily Schweppe wants parents to know, it’s that “Parenting can be overwhelming at times, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not failure." She emphasizes, "If you're feeling stuck or uncertain about how to best support your child, I want you to know that you’re not alone and that feeling of overwhelm doesn’t have to last.”
Emily is a big believer in using available resources for support, and we’re glad she has joined the Diagnostic Center team! Thinking of all of the options that Springer has for support, she explains, “Whether it's through educational resources, coaching, parent nights or anything in between—connecting with others who want to support you and your child can make all the difference. You don’t have to have all the answers on your own—together, we can find the best path forward for your child and your family.”
A Path to Confidence
Coaching isn’t about telling parents what to do—it’s about guiding you to find what works best for you and your child. It’s an opportunity to step back, reflect, and gain new perspectives that lead to meaningful change. Emily’s approach focuses on:
- Helping parents feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.
- Developing a self-care practice as a necessary tool for parenting success.
- Co-constructing practical strategies for everyday challenges.
- Strengthening parent-child connections through curiosity and understanding.
“I believe that empowering parents is essential for creating a supportive home environment where everyone in the family can thrive together,” Emily says. “Coaching can empower you to find solutions, strengthen your parenting skills, and intentionally create a positive, supportive environment for your family.”
Taking Care of Yourself So You Can Support Your Child
One of the biggest challenges parents face is making time for their own well-being. When you’re constantly managing schedules, school concerns, and emotional needs, it’s easy to forget about yourself. But self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential.
Emily explains more. "When you take the time to nurture yourself, you are better equipped to approach parenting with patience, energy, and a clear mind. This is why self-care is a valuable tool we explore in our sessions together. Because when we make self-care a priority, we strengthen our ability to show up as the loving, encouraging parent we want to be."
You Are Exactly the Parent Your Child Needs
Parenting a child with learning differences can sometimes bring self-doubt. You might wonder if you’re doing enough or if you’re making the right decisions. But here’s the truth: Your love, awareness, and commitment already make a difference. Every small step you take is helping your child grow.
At Springer, we want parents to feel supported and connected. Whether it’s through coaching, educational resources, or workshops, we’re here to walk this journey with you. You don’t have to have all the answers on your own.
