Navigating the Transition to College
May 5, 2023Keep school records longer than you think!
May 19, 2023Those of us in the world of education along with all of us with school children have just celebrated one of the most important weeks of the school year: Teacher Appreciation Week.
Springer’s teachers, like so many across the country, are holistically dedicated to designing the human fabric for a better tomorrow. Over the course of their career teachers become experts in child development, academic content and advances in technology while demonstrating mastery in the planning and delivery of new concepts designed in a way to be perfectly matched to meet the needs of individual students. Teachers partner with parents to understand each individual child and remain open to coaching and guidance, all in an effort to help each child become self-aware, confident leaders of tomorrow. In few other industries are the stakes so high. That is why we all appreciate having great people in the profession of teaching.
At Springer our students demonstrate their appreciation in ways that many have never done so before. Many students diagnosed with dyslexia, ADHD and executive functioning challenges have been in classrooms with talented adults in other schools, but those adults have been in systems that were not designed for them. Over time the limitations of those systems can lead to self-doubt in our children. Many of Springer students arrive on campus having lived through a level of trauma that few people understand and even fewer people are able to address. But Springer teachers can. And Springer teachers do.
Springer’s entire system of education is intentionally designed to provide a depth of intensive attention to each student. Our teachers recognize each student's strengths and prioritize their needs. Such attention and reinforcement, paired with diagnostic instruction and specific programs, ignite our students with the pride that their parents worried could only be a memory. Our teachers do what no other system will allow a teacher to do. Collectively, we will all be the beneficiaries of the work of Springer teachers: Our students are the architects, artists, engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists and global citizens that will lead us to a prosperous new tomorrow. Our teachers are the ones who are making that future a reality.
If you know a teacher – in your neighborhood or at the grocery store – do not hesitate to share your appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Their jobs are difficult and ever-changing, so a short statement of thanks could go a long way. Thank you for being a supporter of teachers everywhere, and a champion of the teachers at Springer!
