Eighty students ages 6-14 have enjoyed a variety of learning and social activities on campus since Adventures in Summer Learning began on June 13. Morning Expeditions create a space for the students to gain confidence in academics through evidence-based literacy programs, writing and mathematics instruction.
Lots of breaks for movement and challenge-by-choice activities like rock climbing, paired with afternoon minicamps for cooking, gardening, and ceramics, are just some of the ways students have a great time while being engaged intellectually and socially.
Now four weeks into the program many parents have commented on noticeable changes in their children. Among the praises for this year’s camp, one family shared that their son “has grown so much and loved being a part of this program.” This year’s summer program will run through Friday, July 15. Some of the children will attend Springer’s day school in the fall and others will attend a public or private school in their neighborhood.
Registration for next year’s program will be available online in the spring of 2023.
