Springer raises $72,000 for financial aid and outreach

October is LD and ADHD Awareness Month and the Springer School and Center wants families in the region to be aware of the resources they can provide to help children with learning LD and or ADHD. While Springer’s School offers a full academic program to address LD, Springer’s Center also lends support and guidance to parents whose children are experiencing difficulties related to LD and ADHD. Two nationally recognized experts are scheduled as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series, and additional workshops on relevant topics will be offered monthly. These sessions are great for parents and other caregivers, as well as individuals who struggle themselves. They’re presented in accessible, short time blocks and are open to families of all neighborhoods, regardless of school attended.
Springer welcomes Jessica McCabe September 30 (virtual).
On September 30, Springer will welcome YouTube sensation Jessica McCabe into an exclusive conversation about growing up with ADHD. Jessica’s casual and endearing manner engages viewers of all ages on her YouTube channel “How to ADHD”. Her stories will strike a cord of sincerity with those who have lived a similar journey and provide insight for those who have not. Registration is required for this Springer-hosted live online presentation “Getting Fish Out of Trees, One Brain at a Time”. Those who have paid for registration for Jessica McCabe’s session are also invited to a free follow-up session on October 5, to discuss ADHD in more depth and allow for further exploration of topics covered in Jessica’s presentation.
November’s offering is intended for parents/guardians whose children are having difficulty learning letters, sounds and words, and may be lagging behind peers in reading and spelling. The Parent Dyslexia Series will define and explain dyslexia, a language-based learning disability. Part one is November 9 at 6:30 p.m. and part two will be offered on the evening of December 2nd. Don’t miss these programs which will provide clarity and a blueprint for supporting academic success.
