Near the end of a school year, when there is a moment of quiet (and there are not many!), we can't help but reflect on how far our students have come during the school year. Math and reading levels have improved, often vastly, friendships have strengthened, and confidence has grown. These strides are not short lived.
Many alumni have visited Springer to reconnect and to celebrate their continuing growth. We hear how they're using the tools they learned here, through many phases of their lives, including college and careers.
They’re doing well in classes, finding activities they enjoy and advocating for their needs in a variety of environments. Others are excelling in the workplace, building fulfilling careers and achieving personal goals.
For us, it’s the ultimate feel-good experience connecting with alumni. Teachers are thrilled to see former students maintaining the good habits they developed at Springer. And, we love to to give encouragement once again.
Progress is something to celebrate! This spring, take time to reflect on your child’s growth, and that of all the young people in your life, making sure to note even small steps, because those are also important.
Parents, we’re proud of you too! You have teamed with teachers to encourage and support your children when they needed scaffolding, strategies and courage. You’ve problem-solved and grown in your journey, too. You’re changing the trajectory of your child’s life.
Families and friends, if you’re feeling reflective, share your thoughts with us. Alumni can reach out via Springer-LD.org/alumni-contact to share updates as small as a change of address or as large as graduations. We appreciate what you each uniquely bring to our community and look forward to hearing even more about your journey!
