Tom Schiffer graduated from Boone County High School and then went on to the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and School. The Ordnance School was part of 4 years of Active Duty with time spent in Germany; Riley, KS; and Saudi Arabia.
Post army, Tom attended Northern Kentucky University on the GI Bill to learn drafting skills. These skills helped him get jobs as a manual machinist and then get promoted to engineering departments. He has worked for several companies on many different projects involving gas and oil drilling equipment, defense projects, aviation, and space exploration. Tom currently works for Microtek Finishing as a fixture designer and does freelance work ranging from product design to prototype fabrication.
